Meet Our Team
As senior vice president of personal insurance at Cook Maran, Kirsten manages the department’s customer service to ensure clients receive the highest level of support. She believes positive client relationships are integral to the firm’s success and the best way to foster them is to understand each client’s unique perspective and leverage that information to effectively advise them on their risk needs.
A key member of the Cook Maran team for more than 27 years, Kirsten was promoted to her current position after 10 years as a personal insurance service manager. Before that, she was a customer service assistant. Kirsten began her insurance career with a college summer internship at Cook Maran predecessor firm Maran, DeBaun, Cruise & Simonson. An elder in the First Presbyterian Church Southampton and member of the Water Mill Community Club, Kirsten earned a bachelor’s in elementary education from the University of Minnesota.
Sandy is a personal lines supervisor at Cook Maran, where she manages and directs the customer service team, trains new team members and helps establish the department’s best practices and procedures. She focuses on the client experience and works hard to understand each individual’s unique perspective. Prior to this role, Sandy was a private client account manager, a position she was promoted to after spending four years as a customer service representative. A member of the Private Risk Management Association with AAI-M and CPRIA designations, she earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from St. John’s University.
Noreen is the personal lines customer care supervisor at Cook Maran, where she manages and directs the customer service team, trains new team members and helps establish the department’s best practices and procedures. Previously, she oversaw the personal insurance division at Gundermann & Gundermann, which she joined in 1989 before it became Cook Maran’s Prime Risk Partner in 2017. Noreen is a Dowling College graduate.
Cook Maran senior customer care representative Claire ensures clients receive the best policy at the best value by conducting regular account reviews and coverage explanations and is instrumental in training new team members. Since joining the firm in 2013, she has worked hard to make every client’s experience as easy and seamless as possible. Claire is a SUNY Albany graduate.
As a senior customer care representative at Cook Maran, Debby guides other customer care representatives in their roles and directly assists clients with policy reviews, changes and general questions. She is dedicated to educating clients so they can better understand their options and get the coverage that meets their needs. Debby joined the firm in 1999 as an account manager following her 12 years at Olde Towne Insurance Agency.
As a Cook Maran customer care representative, Jennifer assists clients with their personal insurance policies by reviewing their accounts, assessing coverage, recommending savings options, and managing claim inquiries. Jennifer, who joined the firm in 2018, approaches her client relationships with a positive and personable attitude, patience and determination. She was previously a State Farm sales representative and holds a bachelor’s in business administration and communications from the University at Albany.
As a customer care representative at Cook Maran, Katie reviews clients’ accounts for current and potential coverage and benefits and facilitates in the claim process. She approaches her client relationships with empathy and respect, ensuring clients receive the highest level of support on issues big and small. Katie is a graduate of Towson University.
Cook Maran customer care representative Magdeline provides top-tier, personalized customer service and approaches all of her client relationships with a dedication to friendliness, kindness, and respect. Magdeline, who joined the firm in 2017, has over 34 years’ industry experience in both commercial and personal insurance programs.
Margie brings over 50 years of experience to her role as a Cook Maran customer care representative. She joined Gundermann & Gundermann in 1986 and has been a member of the Cook Maran family since 2017. She is responsible for assisting clients with questions or requests regarding their policies including rates, billing and claims.
Mary Ann is a customer care representative at Cook Maran, where she provides clients with a level of service that is both knowledgeable and friendly. She was previously an account manager at Mintz Girgan & Brightly. She joined them as a personal lines assistant in 1990 before they became Cook Maran’s Prime Risk Partner in 2017.
Cook Maran customer service representative Niki-Lyn conducts account reviews, coverage assessments and searches for potential savings options on behalf of clients. She approaches her relationships with empathy, respect and exemplary customer service, which helps her build long-term, trusting connections. Niki-Lyn, who joined the firm in 2014, is a Stony Brook University graduate.
Cook Maran customer care and remarketing professional Pat believes that communication is the key to successful relationships with clients and is dedicated to delivering the best insurance solutions possible. She moved to her current role in 2017 after six years as an account manager. Pat holds a B.S. in business administration and management from Boston University.
Cook Maran customer service representative Samantha brings 10 years of experience to her role. She addresses client inquiries and conducts account reviews and coverage assessments with integrity and compassion. Samantha is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz.
Cook Maran customer care representative Stephanie answers client questions regarding their policies and bills and performs account reviews. Prior to joining the firm in 2019, she spent more than three years as a salesperson in Aflac’s accident and health insurance department and as compliance auditor at Broadway National. Stefanie holds broker’s licenses in accident and health and property and casualty insurance and earned bachelor’s degrees in business economics and communication studies at SUNY Oneonta.
Stephanie is a customer care representative in Cook Maran’s personal lines department. She is dedicated to providing a positive customer experience that secures long-term relationships. Stephanie is also a member of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.
