Linda Blowe

Linda Blowe is vice president of financial & support services at Cook Maran, as well as the agency’s accounting manager. She is responsible for overseeing a team that handles accounting operations for the agency. In addition to maintaining close working relationships with clients, financial institutions, insurance carrier accounting divisions and vendors, Linda ensures that procedures and controls are in place to facilitate accurate and timely transactions for receivables and payables, and is responsible for various reporting and recordkeeping functions. Linda is also a member of the NetVU Users Group, which allows her to stay informed about the information management system used by Cook Maran and act in a supporting role for utilization of the system.

Before the merger that created Cook Maran in 2012, Linda was vice president of the Edward F. Cook Agency, following a series of promotions from an accounting services representative to a senior accounting services representative in 1998, and then to accounting manager in 2001.

Linda previously worked for several years in the banking industry and as a full-charge bookkeeper and office manager. She holds a B.A. in human relations from St. Joseph’s College and an A.S. in criminal justice from Suffolk County Community College.

Active in the local community, Linda is vice president of the East Hampton Town Community Council, a nonprofit organization that offers assistance to families in financial crisis. She also serves as a Girl Scouts of Suffolk County service unit coordinator for the East End of Long Island, as well as a leader for two troops in her hometown of East Hampton. In addition, Linda and her husband, Cecil, are avid motorcyclists and members of the Blue Knights International Motorcycle Club, a nonprofit fraternal organization whose members travel by motorcycle across the U.S. and abroad for recreation and to raise funds for various local and international charities. Linda also enjoys volunteering her time for a variety of school activities in support of her two daughters.
