Beth Gardner is the Executive Vice President of Operations, at Cook Maran. Beth has led operations throughout the firm’s growth from 37 employees to the current total of 235 employees—and is responsible for Operations, Education & Training, Quality Assurance, Human Resources and Marketing & Public Relations.
Once Cook Maran joined Prime Risk Partners in 2015, Beth’s focus became the successful transitioning of acquisitions in the tri-state region. She has led the transition team for 8 acquisitions over the last three years.
Beth’s focus at Cook Maran has been and continues to be workplace-related – focusing on company culture, work/life balance and employee growth & development.
Beth attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the early 1980’s and started her insurance career while taking a one-year break from school. She decided to stay in the insurance industry on Eastern Long Island and didn’t return to Chapel Hill but did earn an Associate’s Degree in Business from Suffolk Community College in 1986. Beth also earned her Accredited Adviser in Insurance designation (AAI) in 1991 and her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2004.
Beth began working in the insurance industry in 1985 for the Meschutt Maran Agency, which would ultimately become Cook Maran after several acquisitions and mergers spanning more than 30 years. Prior to being named EVP of Operations, Beth held various personal insurance positions in management and customer service.
Beth and her husband, Jeff, a luxury homebuilder, live in Water Mill, NY, where they are active members of the local community. They have a daughter, Jenny, and son, Andrew, both working and residing in New York. Beth serves as an elder at The First Presbyterian Church of Southampton and is a past president of the Water Mill Community Club.Our Team Directory
