Beth Gardner is executive vice president, operations, at Cook Maran. Beth leads operations throughout the firm’s growth from 35 employees to the current total of 160 employees—and is responsible for operations, quality management, information technology, human resources and marketing & public relations. She is also a member of Cook Maran’s executive committee and board of directors.
From 2003 to 2014, Beth was a member of Vistage International, an organization that brings together business owners for the purpose of leadership development and peer collaboration. She earned her accredited adviser in insurance designation (AAI) in 1991 and her chartered property casualty underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2004. She has served as a member of numerous insurance carriers advisory committees and most recently held a position on the Adirondack Insurance Exchange advisory committee.
Beth began working in the insurance industry in 1985 for the Meschutt Maran Agency, which would ultimately become Cook Maran after several acquisitions and mergers spanning more than 25 years. Prior to being named director of operations, Beth became a personal insurance manager after spending the early part of her personal insurance career in customer service.
Beth resides with her husband, Jeff, and her two children in Water Mill, NY, where she is an active member of the local community and very involved in The First Presbyterian Church of Southampton and the Water Mill Community Club, as well as other local community-oriented programs.Our Team Directory
