  • Strong analytical and abstract reasoning skills
  • Must provide own transportation

Expectations of Cook Maran

  • Rigorous interview process including sales aptitude assessment
  • Students must be available for 10-week program
  • Attend client visits with veteran salespeople
  • Element of cold-calling
  • Independent textbook learning
  • Final presentation will be required
  • Final evaluation by a Cook Maran team

Training Program

  • Mentor assignment
  • 10-week curriculum including:
  • Company and departmental overviews
  • Sales prospecting
  • Insurance marketing and placement
  • Job shadowing
  • Insurance company visit
  • Presentation preparation

Information for Students

  • Paid internship – $12 per hour
  • 35-hour work week (8:30-4:30 or 9:00-5:00)
  • Business attire for meetings / Business casual for in-office days
  • Desired start date June 2, 2014
